The publication of scientific research on the solar system, the Milky Way makes many people believe in human understanding of the vast and vast universe. But there is a surprising fact that we have only found about 5% of the ingredients that make up the mysterious extraterrestrial space.
In fact, all of the cosmic constituents that humans perceive are “light” forms of matter. They include the elements in the periodic table, the collection of molecules, atoms, and the systems of smaller particles that make up them such as protons, electrons, neutrons, etc. All of which are the constituent elements of our Earth us, but only 1/20 of what makes up the universe.
The question is what is the remaining 95% of the universe? Humans know of their existence but cannot see or study them specifically, directly because these components are invisible. They are “dark” matter – 25% of the universe, and “dark” energy – 70% of the universe.
“Dark” matter – 25% of the universe, and “dark” energy – 70% of the universe.
Specifically, “dark” matter is not luminescent and is considered to be present around galaxies and galaxy clusters. Experts call them “invisible cloaks”. Humans only know of their existence because they can measure the mass and gravity they exert on “bright” matter.
“Dark” energy is even more mysterious. They are thought to be the type of energy that exists in the universe, capable of accelerating galaxies closer together or further apart. However, an exact theory on this issue has not yet been born, and the scientific community is still “giving up” on this question.
